Pascal Deuber

Pascal Deuber was born in Rheinfelden/CH in 1992. He had lessons with Heiner Krause in Rheinfelden and later with Stefan Ruf in Basel at the music school and studied from 2012 to 2016 at the Musikhochschule in Basel with Prof. Christian Lampert. In the 2014/15 season he was engaged as principal horn in the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, from the beginning of the 2015/16 season he was deputy principal horn in the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra and from summer 2017 to summer 2019 principal horn in the same orchestra. Since September 2019, he has been principal horn in the Bavarian State Orchestra. Since 2008, he has won several prizes at national and international competitions (including the Swiss Youth Music Competition SJMW, International Lions Club Music Competition 2014, Aeolus Competition in Düsseldorf 2018 for the best interpretation of a contemporary work). As a soloist, he has performed with the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra, the Basel Chamber Orchestra, the Basel Festival Orchestra, the New Orchestra Basel, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Sinfonietta Köln and the Meilen Symphony Orchestra, among others.

Pascal Deuber has already helped out with many major symphony orchestras such as the Basel Symphony Orchestra, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, BR Symphony Orchestra, Munich Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra.
